As of today, the most expensive fuel in the Balkan region is in Croatia, while drivers in Hungary pay the cheapest prices, where gasoline and diesel are much lower than in all neighboring countries.
Besides Croatia, fuel is more expensive than in Serbia in Romania, Montenegro, and Slovenia.
In Serbia, drivers must pay a maximum of 202.2 dinars per liter (1.72 euros) for Eurodiesel, and 184 dinars per liter (1.56 euros) for BMB 95 gasoline over the next seven days.
Drivers in Croatia pay 1.79 euros per liter for gasoline and 1.88 euros per liter for diesel fuel. Although diesel in Croatia fell slightly a few days ago compared to the previous week, gasoline prices jumped.
Slovenians must pay 1.63 euros per liter for gasoline and 1.68 euros per liter for diesel fuel. In Bulgaria, the price of gasoline is 1.54 euros, and diesel fuel is 1.63 euros per liter, while in Romania the price of gasoline is 1.61 euros and diesel fuel is 1.75 euros.
The cheapest fuel in the neighborhood, as well as in the European Union, is in Hungary, where a liter of gasoline costs 1.24 euros and diesel 1.39 euros. Gasoline in Montenegro costs 1.7 euros, and diesel fuel 1.72 euros.
