Montenegro’s Minister of Economic Development, Jakov Milatović, noted that in 2022 a full recovery of tourism and the level of pre-COVID revenues, as budgeted for 2022, is expected.

With moderate optimism, the ministry expects revenues to amount to 90–100% of what was achieved in the record-breaking 2019. According to him, a successful winter season is the beginning of the full recovery of tourism in Montenegro, reports RTCG.

“Although one crisis was followed by another, we moderately optimistically expect that this year we will achieve revenues that will amount to 90–100% of the pre-COVID years, of what it was in the record-breaking 2019. Cooperation between institutions, joint promotion and opening new markets are our chance,” the minister said at a meeting of the coordinating body for the preparation and monitoring of the tourist season.
