Despite this, the number of flight programs did not increase significantly compared to last year. Flights from Russia in summer are operated only from two cities: Moscow and St. Petersburg. This year, tour operators’ flight programs to Montenegro started at the beginning of June and will run until the end of September (less often — October). All market participants note an increase in demand this season — plus 10-15% compared to last year. In the ranking of the most in-demand summer destinations of 2019, Montenegro entered the top 10, overtaking last year’s ranking participant — Croatia, reports ATOR. “At the beginning of the 2019 season, sales for this destination got off to a very good start within the framework of the Early Booking promotion. Compared to last year, sales figures have increased significantly. Today, sales pace is in line with the planned volumes,” ANEX Tour says. At Intourist, the increase in demand is partly linked to the decline that occurred last year due to the FIFA World Cup in Russia. “The volume of bookings for the dates of the championship this year exceeds last year’s volume by 61%. We associate this growth precisely with the fact that last year many tourists stayed at home,” the company’s press service explained. Most companies this year have kept last year’s routes and transportation volumes to Montenegro. They have increased for TUI Russia, while PAKS has increased its volume by 30%. The main trend for Montenegro in the 2019 season among Biblio-Globus tourists is a longer tour duration and the choice of higher-category hotels. If last year tourists preferred a 7-night tour to a 2-3* hotel, this year the most popular are 10-14-night tours to 4-5* hotels. At PAKS, they note increased demand for many properties in Montenegro: Villa Agrum, Villa Amfora, Villa Jokovic, Villa L, Villa Mico, Vlla Poco, Villa Sanja, Villa Yana, Villa Andro, Imperia Residence, Villa Prestige, Villa Gregovic, Mediteran 4*, Vile Oliva 4*, Iberostar Bellevue 4*, Slovenska Plaza 3*, Slovenska Plaza 4.
