The President of the Tivat Municipality, Željko Komnenović, announced the start of construction of the boulevard from Tivat Airport to Jaz this autumn, and construction of the boulevard through Tivat is expected to begin next year.
In the morning program of TVCG, Komnenović reminded that numerous infrastructure projects have been implemented in Tivat, and that a systemic solution is needed to reduce congestion through the construction of boulevards.

“I hope that the Chinese company , which was selected in the tender, will soon begin work on the boulevard from Tivat Airport to Jaz. According to my information, earthworks will begin shortly, and intensive works will start in the autumn,” said Komnenović.
He also says that the start of construction of the boulevard through Tivat was recently agreed with the Traffic Administration.
“It has been agreed that work on the construction of the new boulevard through Tivat from the Airport to Donja Lastva will begin in September 2024,” said Komnenović.
The season promises to be hot
Komnenović says that there are currently about 6,200 tourists in Tivat, and all indicators point to this being a record tourist season. He also noted that there are currently 10% more tourists in the city than last year, and eight percent more than in the record year of 2019. According to him, the most numerous tourists in Tivat are Russians, guests from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
