According to the statistical office, in 2020 there were 11,280 companies with foreign capital in Montenegro. Of the total number, the largest share of foreign companies belongs to businessmen from Turkey — 3,250, or 28.8 percent.
Most companies were opened on the Montenegrin coast, especially in Budva, as well as in the capital, Podgorica.
The increased interest of Turkish businessmen in investing in Montenegro has been recorded in recent years, especially after Montenegro's membership in NATO.
