Prices for New Builds in Montenegro Have Started to Rise

The average price per square meter of new-build housing in Montenegro in the second quarter of 2021 (April, May and June) was 1,242 euros, according to the statistical office Monstat.

In the same period of 2020, the price was 1,119 euros per square meter. That is, over the year the price of the average square meter in new-build housing increased by 123 euros, or 11 percent. The price is now higher compared to the same quarter of 2019, when the average apartment area cost 1,206 euros.

In Podgorica, a year ago the average cost per square meter of an apartment in new-build housing under commercial conditions was 1,153, and now it is 1,236, which is 7 percent more. On the coast, the price per square meter in the same category rose from 1,229 to 1,298 euros, or by 5 percent.
