New entry rules for tourists to Montenegro
The Director of the Institute of Public Health, Igor Galić, at a press conference announced new rules, under which entry to Montenegro is possible only if one of four conditions is met:
- Vaccination certificate (with one or both doses). - Negative PCR test no older than 72 hours. - Proof of recovery from the disease, issued no less than 14 days and no more than 180 days ago. - Rapid antigen test no older than 48 hours.
The rules come into force on August 24.
From Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia, entry remains free without meeting these conditions.
New epidemiological measures in Montenegro
Weddings and other celebrations must be held with at least one of the above conditions: vaccination certificate, negative PCR test, proof of recovery from the disease, or rapid antigen test.
Catering establishments are required to appoint a person responsible for ensuring compliance with the established measures.
Public places (theaters, cinemas, museums, galleries, etc.) can be visited only if one of the four above-mentioned conditions is met.
Number of coronavirus cases in Montenegro
Over the past 24 hours, 634 people were infected with coronavirus in Montenegro, and one person died. 278 recovered patients were registered. Taking into account all newly detected cases, as well as the number of recovered patients, the total number of currently active COVID-19 cases in Montenegro is 5,577.
