In Montenegro, the new package of economic measures to support citizens for the first quarter of 2021 covers more than 100,000 people, said Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović. He also noted that this is almost every fifth resident of the country.
Pensioners with income of less than 222 euros will receive 50 euros, and the unemployed registered with the employment bureau will receive 100 euros.
Recipients of material assistance and disability benefits can also count on support.
He stated at a press conference in the Government of Montenegro that the package is, above all, of a crisis nature and consists of two parts — support for the economy and support for vulnerable categories of society.
He emphasized that for the first time support for pensioners with small pensions was expanded, providing one-time assistance to pensioners receiving a pension lower than the minimum wage, which amounts to 222 euros.
Families receiving material assistance, almost 8,000 of them, will also receive 50 euros, and families with three or more members — 100 euros.
The list of activities at risk has been expanded by about 20 positions; they relate to the transport sector and the manufacturing industry.
