The first registered same-sex marriage was concluded in Budva between two young women who are originally from the Balkans but live and work abroad.
According to the secretary of the local government, Milijana Vukotić Elušič, the institution provided the partnership register, the prescribed extract from the register, which is handed to partners immediately after entering into marriage, as well as the presence of witnesses in accordance with the law.
Let us recall that since July 17, same-sex couples in Montenegro can apply for official registration of their relationship.
