The first hotel of The Ritz-Carlton brand will appear in 2023, the business magazine reports Business Daily. The start of sales of the residences is scheduled for 2020. “An excellent location on the Adriatic coast makes Montenegro a favorite Mediterranean destination for travelers from all over the world,” noted Carlton Ervin, Director of Development for Marriott International in Europe. “The signing of the agreement to build The Ritz-Carlton, Montenegro underscores the demand for our luxury hotels in the region.” The windows of the hotel and residences, located on the western coast of the unique Luštica Peninsula, will offer panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea. The hotel will be accessible by car in 30 minutes from Tivat International Airport or in 2 hours from Dubrovnik International Airport. Guests will also be able to arrive by sea, docking at the complex’s private marina. The hotel’s 120 cozy rooms and suites are planned to be designed in an elegant, minimalist style using traditional elements of local design, emphasizing the natural beauty of Montenegro, and equipped with the most modern technologies. To harmoniously fit the new hotel and residences into the landscape, they are planned as low-rise buildings with views of the sea and sunset. Guests will have access to one main restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a beach bar, three pools (indoor, outdoor, and a Lido with seawater), a spa center and a gym, as well as a club for children and teenagers with plenty of entertainment. In addition, the new hotel project includes several spacious outdoor areas with panoramic views for private as well as seasonal gastronomic events. Adventure lovers will be able to go cycling in the mountains or take a short hike. The hotel also plans to host the Ambassadors of the Environment educational program, developed by Jean-Michel Cousteau’s environmental organization Ocean Futures Society together with The Ritz-Carlton. It will give guests of all ages the opportunity to get acquainted with the unique nature reserves surrounding the hotel area and learn how to preserve nature for future generations. “Successfully securing the agreements for the debut of the first hotel of the legendary The Ritz-Carlton brand in Montenegro is the result of the work of all parties involved: ours, Marriott International, and the Government of Montenegro,” says Mohamed Al Sager, head of Al Yasra. “This is not only an achievement in business, but also our personal victory. During my first trip to Montenegro, I fell in love with its nature and decided that I wanted to take part in the development of this country. Starting simply as a dream, this wonderful project now already has a clear implementation strategy.” The hotel and residences will become part of a multifunctional complex that will include villas, landscaped gardens, a yacht club, and a beautiful bay with beaches. The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Montenegro will reportedly unite 180 apartments and 48 villas. It is planned that the first stage of construction will be completed in 2023, and the final stage by 2028. The start of sales of the residences is scheduled for 2020.
