Former President of Montenegro and Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Momir Bulatović died at the age of 63. He died of a heart attack in the village of Rači, near Podgorica. Photo: Novosti.rs Momir Bulatović was born on September 21, 1956, in Belgrade, and studied at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro. In the late 1980s, he began working in youth organizations and later joined the struggle against the leadership of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia. In addition, he advocated for the protection of the Serbian population in Kosovo, reports RBC. In 1989, he was elected chairman of the presidency of the League of Communists of Montenegro, and a year later won the first multi-party elections and became the first President of Montenegro; he held this post until 1998. Then, from 1998 to 2000, he was Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
