The Government of Montenegro presented new entry rules for Montenegro in 2022.
1. The traveler must be fully vaccinated with the prescribed number of vaccine doses, and no more than 6 months must have passed since the last dose was administered.
2. Proof that the person has had COVID-19 and that at least 10 days and no more than 180 days have passed since receiving a positive test result.
For both of these categories, a PCR test no older than 72 hours or an antigen rapid test no older than 48 hours is also mandatory.
The exception is citizens of Montenegro and holders of residence permits or permanent residence. They may enter without the documents listed above, but they must self-isolate for 10 days. The self-isolation period can be shortened to three days after receiving negative PCR test results in Montenegro.
