One of the world’s leading hotel brands, Radisson Hotel Group, has officially signed a management contract for Radisson Resort Ruža Vjetrova — a picturesque family resort on Montenegro’s coast. The hotel renovation has already begun, and its opening is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025. This event has become an important milestone in Radisson’s strategic expansion in the Balkans, where the company already manages 30 hotels and continues to actively grow its portfolio.

Location and advantages of the resort

Radisson Resort Ruža Vjetrova (Ruža Vjetrova) is located not far from the historic Old Bar, near the border with Albania. The resort, first opened in 2009, has already gained popularity among tourists thanks to private sea access, an exclusive beach area, and high-class service. With rebranding under the Radisson brand, it will receive a new level of comfort and service, which will allow it to become one of the most sought-after hotel locations on the Montenegrin coast.

Development of Montenegro’s tourism infrastructure

David Jenkins, Vice President of Business Development for Radisson Hotel Group in Eastern Europe, noted, that Radisson Resort Ruža Vjetrova will become a landmark property for the company in the region:

“Radisson is entering the Montenegrin market for the first time with a luxury resort that will offer a combination of family leisure, premium amenities, and direct access to the Adriatic Sea. We are confident that it will set new standards in Montenegro’s tourism industry and strengthen our presence in the Balkans.”

One of the key reasons for choosing this location was the limited market for international hotel brands in Montenegro. Radisson expects to attract travelers from around the world and raise the country’s status as a premium tourist destination.

Rooms, infrastructure, and entertainment

The new Radisson Resort Ruža Vjetrova will have 170 modern rooms, including spacious family superior apartments. Guests will have access to:

  • Two outdoor pools
  • Children’s club
  • Two tennis courts
  • Wellness & spa area
  • Souvenir shops

Special attention should be paid to the resort’s gastronomic offering. The complex will feature:

  • 24-hour restaurant
  • National restaurant “Konoba”
  • À-la-carte restaurant
  • Pool bar with a selection of local and international dishes

Radisson Resort Ruža Vjetrova: a new jewel of the Adriatic coast

Thanks to its unique location and premium level of service, the resort will become an ideal base for exploring Montenegro. Guests will be able to visit:

  • Kotor Bay – a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Budva and Sveti Stefan – popular tourist destinations
  • The elite yacht complexes Porto Montenegro and Porto Novi
  • Nature reserves and national parks, including the mountainous region of Kolašin
  • Old Bar, Ulcinj, and Ada Bojana, famous for their beaches and windsurfing opportunities

In addition, the hotel will offer a variety of water activities, making it the best place for family holidays and active tourism in the region.

Radisson – a new name in Montenegro’s hotel industry

Jovan Lekić, a representative of the resort’s owners (NALL International and Veletex), said:

“This is a special day for us, as we proudly announce our partnership with Radisson Hotel Group. We are becoming the first hotel under the Radisson brand in Montenegro, which marks a new stage in the development of the country’s hotel business.”

Cooperation with Radisson will open up new opportunities both for the resort itself and for the entire hospitality industry in Montenegro. The introduction of high service standards, innovative design, and world-class hospitality experience will increase the region’s appeal for international investors and tourists.

The future of Radisson in Montenegro

Radisson Hotel Group continues to expand actively, considering the possibility of further increasing its presence in the Montenegrin market. Radisson Resort Ruža Vjetrova will become the company’s flagship project in the country, strengthening Montenegro’s reputation as a destination for premium leisure. The hotel’s opening in 2025 will be a key event in the region’s tourism industry, and the resort itself will attract travelers seeking a unique combination of comfort, nature, and rich cultural heritage. In recent years, Montenegro has been actively attracting major international hotel chains, which confirms the growing interest of investors in the country’s tourism sector. In addition to Radisson, global brands such as Hyatt have entered the market, having announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort & Spa, as well as the prestigious Marriott International chain, which is planning to launch several properties under the Autograph Collection and Moxy brands. In addition, in 2024 Accor Group introduced Mövenpick Hotel in Montenegro, offering guests premium service in the country’s coastal areas. These investments confirm that Montenegro is becoming an increasingly significant tourist destination in the region, attracting travelers from all over the world.
