The airline Ural Airlines had planned to launch regular flights from Russia to Montenegro. However, this morning the airline announced that it had canceled the flight. By that time, passengers had already managed to go through security and check in their luggage. In addition, tourists were asked to present a PCR test no older than 72 hours or take one on the spot. As a reminder, Montenegro has canceled PCR tests for citizens of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Croatia, and North Macedonia. Visas for visiting Montenegro are also not required.
The landing of the Ural Airlines aircraft was scheduled for today at 12 o'clock.
As of today, citizens of the Russian Federation can get to Montenegro with a transfer in Belgrade, and from April 30 – with a transfer in Minsk. In both cases, Russians also do not need a visa.
The launch of direct flights from Russia to Montenegro is postponed to June 2021.
