Food service establishments in Budva, Cetinje, Kolašin, Ulcinj, and Žabljak will be closed from Monday, October 19. Kindergartens and schools will be switched to remote learning. This was announced by the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro.
According to them, the epidemiological situation in these municipalities has worsened, as the infection rate of COVID-19 there has exceeded 800 per 100,000 people. This means that the above-mentioned municipalities now belong to Group 3 (red). Therefore, stricter restrictions will be in force here for the next 14 days.
The Institute states that there are no municipalities with an infection rate exceeding 1,200 per 100,000 residents. At the same time, they do not expect any to appear, as that would mean introducing a movement ban from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
“The cumulative incidence in Podgorica currently stands at 792.7 per 100,000 residents. The decision to introduce stricter restrictions in the capital will be made after the statistical processing of all samples sent to Germany,” the Institute added.
