Outgoing Prime Minister Dritan Abazović and the president of the Hungarian group 4iG, Gellért Jászai signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding cooperation in the development of the 5G network, infrastructure, and the implementation of innovative solutions.

The government reminds that 4iG entered the telecommunications market of the Western Balkans as a strategic investor in 2021 with the acquisition of Telenor Montenegro. The network was later renamed One Montenegro, and this mobile operator is said to be one of the leaders and drivers of technological development in the market.

The 4iG Group plays an important role in expanding the 5G network

“The 4iG Group plays an important role in expanding the 5G network, smart city projects aimed at ensuring sustainable housing and improving the efficiency of information and communications infrastructure in Montenegro,” the government statement says.

The government believes that 4iG’s extensive experience in digitizing public services and developing and integrating e-government projects can improve the efficiency of public administration.
