The average cost per square meter of housing in new developments has decreased compared to 2019. For the second quarter of this year, it amounted to 1,000 euros and was 17.1% lower than last year and 6.4% higher than in the first quarter of 2020. This was reported by the Statistical Office of Montenegro.
The average price per square meter of a new apartment in Podgorica was 974 euros, on the coast – 1,229 euros, in the central region – 669 euros, and in the northern region – 845 euros.
It is worth noting that the average cost per square meter was affected by the presence of social housing.
