According to the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro (NTO), there are currently 35,000 tourists in Montenegro, which is 60% more compared to the same period in 2019, said the Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović in his Twitter.

“This is the best proof of our tourism’s recovery after last year’s flood,” the minister added.

It should be noted that accommodation prices in the private sector and hotels this year are significantly lower than in 2019.

“Compared to 2019, prices for private accommodation in the pre-season period have dropped by as much as 50 percent. Hoteliers have also adjusted prices in line with demand and, in addition, created extremely attractive package offers,” said Petar Golubović, Director of the Tourism Research and Development Center.

He added that since 2019, prices in food service establishments have remained at the same or a similar level.

“However, it is possible that in July, given the significant increase in prices of basic food products and additional state excise duties on certain products, prices in restaurants and cafes may rise,” Golubović said.
