Montenegro’s GDP reached 4.66 billion euros, compared with 4.3 billion euros a year earlier, according to the statistical agency Monstat. For comparison: the growth rate of Russia’s GDP in 2018 was significantly lower - 2.3% (Rosstat data). In 2018, gross domestic product per capita in Montenegro increased to 7,495 euros, compared with 6,908 euros in 2017. This year, Montenegro’s Central Bank forecasts a slowdown in the growth rate of the national economy to 3%. However, public debt will increase to 78% of GDP. In 2020, it is expected to decline to 71% of GDP, the World Bank notes.
