Landscaping works on the promenade have started as part of the first phase — near the post office. Their cost is estimated at 95,000 euros. The contractor is the company Incom from Podgorica. It will carry out earthworks, install curbs, benches, and trash bins. It is also planned to build a pedestrian bridge over the Savičić stream. The works should be completed in 50 days. As part of the second phase, landscaping of the area and installation of lighting systems are expected. About 400 varieties of different Mediterranean plants will be planted along the boulevard. The contract for the works is in the process of being concluded. However, as previously reported, the landscaping is temporary in nature. Last year, the authorities announced an international competition to develop an architectural concept for the new look of Šetalište, as this promenade area is called. The reconstruction will cover the entire promenade — from the Old Town in Budva to the village of Rafailovići. The project cost is estimated at 10 to 12 million euros. Along the entire promenade, squares and other public spaces will be created, lawns laid out, and trees and shrubs planted. The works were planned to begin this autumn. Source.
