According to the Montenegrin statistical office Monstat, the cost of construction put into operation in the first quarter of 2022 was 5.2% lower than in the first quarter of 2021 and 17.8% lower than in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Effectively worked time on construction sites in the first quarter of 2022 was 6.1% lower compared with the first quarter of 2021, while it was 6.3% lower compared with the fourth quarter of 2021, the Montenegrin statistical office уточнила.
These data confirm earlier statements by the heads of the largest companies that construction, due to the crisis and rising prices this year has slowed significantly, leading to a shortage of supply. Demand, on the contrary, has not weakened.
