Curfew Lifted on Weekends in Montenegro

Updated: quarantine measures have been extended until May 13.

The curfew will not be in effect from Saturday to Sunday, however the ban on intercity travel on weekends remains in force, Health Minister Jelena Borovinić Bojović said today at a regular press conference.

In addition, schools and kindergartens will operate in Pljevlja and Šavnik starting next week. In these municipalities, retail stores will be open from 7:00 to 22:00, betting shops and catering establishments – until 23:00.

Current epidemiological measures:

  1. Food stores and shopping centers are open from 07:00 to 22:00.
  2. Cafes and restaurants are open from 07:00 to 23:00. No more than 4 people per table.
  3. Curfew from 00:00 to 5:00. Exception – from Saturday to Sunday, as well as walking pets, but no more than 60 minutes per day.
  4. It is forbidden to leave the territory of your municipality on weekends without a valid reason.
  5. Live music performances are allowed from 18:00 to 21:00.
  6. Children's playrooms, amusement parks, gyms, and more are open.
  7. Cruise ships are allowed to enter ports.
  8. Wearing masks outdoors and indoors is mandatory.

Entry rules for Montenegro

Citizens of Montenegro and tourists from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and North Macedonia are allowed to enter Montenegro without a PCR test for coronavirus, as well as without a positive IgG antibody test or a vaccination certificate.

These rules also apply to those entering from Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania.

All other citizens entering Montenegro are allowed entry with a PCR test no older than 48 hours, or with a positive IgG antibody test no older than 30 days, or with proof of having received the second dose of the vaccine at least seven days before entering Montenegro.
