Members of the Parliament of Montenegro have submitted for parliamentary consideration a bill on digital nomads and freelancers.
Its aim is to regulate their legal status in Montenegro by introducing amendments regarding foreigners, who work for a foreign company not registered in Montenegro, or are entrepreneurs (so-called digital nomads).
The proposed amendments state that a digital nomad will be allowed to enter Montenegro on the basis of a long-term visa (visa D), after which they may obtain a temporary residence permit for up to two years. A mandatory condition will be remote work for a foreign company not registered in Montenegro.
